The Bike Root Community Bicycle Shop is a collectively run community space where people can learn to build, repair and maintain their bicycles by using the shop, tools, recycled materials, as well as the help of our bicycle educators. Membership is open to any individual who is interested in joining and is $10 for a one year period.
All information collected by The Bike Root Community Bicycle Shop is used to communicate with members and to track use of the shop. All information gathered will be stored in a secure location and digital copies will be stored on a secure remote server. This information will not be shared with any third party unless legal circumstances indicate otherwise or you have provided consent.
The Bike Root aims to be a safe and respectful environment geared towards education, empowerment and community building. In order to do so we need your input and support.
*People under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian co-sign the following waiver form. People under the age of 13 must have guardian supervision when participating in Bike Root activities and events. By signing this form in the space provided below, I hereby assume all of the risks of participating and/or volunteering in The Bike Root Community Bicycle Shop, hereinafter referred to as the Community. I realize that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained or controlled by them or because of their possible liability without fault. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the Community, sponsors and organizers, in which I may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities during my use of its services. In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this program, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:
